OUR COMPANY
For
over thirty years, the Late Ray C. Hawkins and Corrine Hawkins proudly owned and operated
Hawkins Title Company. The Operation began with 3 people in 1975 and rapidly grew
into a Company of 32 employees by 2000, with operations in Joplin, Missouri and Carthage,
Missouri. Their goal was to serve the title insurance and closing needs of Joplin
and the surrounding communities. Service to the Hawkins meant not only, to treat a
customer with respect in a professional manner but also build a personal friendship
with every customer and potential customer. The hometown, family feel was always the
philosophy at Hawkins Title Company and every customer that walked through the door
knew they were right at home.
In 2000, Ray and Corrine decided it was time to retire. They sold Hawkins Title Company to a larger Title Company. After the passing of Ray in June of 2004, Corrine and her youngest daughter Cassandra left the company and decided it was time to bring the hometown feel back to the title business.
Barrister Title Services, LLC was created when Corrine Hawkins teamed with local attorney Philip Metz and his wife Sue. Together with the assistance of Corrines two daughters, Elizabeth and Cassandra, Barrister Title Services, LLC opened its doors for business on May 2, 2005. We continue to provide excellent customer service and the experience that meet the needs of all involved in the real estate community. When our customers or potential customers walk through our door they know they have come home.!
