Barrister Title Services, LLC will be hosting the  Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours at our Joplin location.  From 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 pm, July 19th.  To RSVP, please contact our office, or contact the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce.  We look forward to seeing you.

 

Introducing Construction Disbursement, another service now offered by Barrister Title. Mike Cusack, a Joplin native, will be in charge of this new department. In addition to this, Mike will also be in charge of Marketing/Public Relations for Barrister Title.  Please contact Mike for details.

      What is Title Insurance? A policy issued by a title insurance company insuring title to the real property is free and clear of any liens or encumbrances and title to the land is in the name of the record owner and no other person or persons can claim ownership of the land.

      Why do I need Title Insurance? Because, even an expert title examiner is human. There is always the potential that an expert title examiner could miss a defect of title. (Such as incorrect legal description; outstanding liens; or other individuals claiming ownership)
